IntroductionMain Objectives:
In line with the 20th CPC National Congress’s instructions to promote high-quality development through opening up and the “Trade Enhancement Priority Project” based on President Xi Jinping’s “sweet potato economy” metaphor, Zhejiang and Ningbo will raise the quality standards for products sold on the domestic market. Manufacturers will be encouraged to implement uniform production lines, standards, and quality for all products, whether they are intended for export or domestic consumption. This endeavor will serve to strengthen the global competitiveness of “Made in Zhejiang”, increase the added value of products, lower the institutional transaction costs of enterprises, promote the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade, and expedite the building of a new development paradigm in which domestic and foreign markets are mutually-reenforcing.
Mission:
To implement the Outline on Building a Powerful Country through Quality Development and the domestic-and-foreign-trade integration strategy, delegates will discuss policies, plans, and measures. The aim is to meet advanced international standards, improve product quality, and provide premium products for domestic and foreign trade. To achieve this, delegates will focus on fostering institutional, standards, evaluation, market, and collaborative promotion systems under the “quality unity” action. Additionally, delegates will explore measures to overcome foreign technical trade barriers, upgrade industrial and supply chains, and revitalize overseas consumption.
Main Agenda:
Keynote speeches by renowned Chinese and international experts on quality conformity, the “quality unity” action, domestic and international manufacturing standards harmonization. A joint initiative will be released based on in-depth discussion and exchange of ideas.
