April 18 (SeeNews) - Serbian logistics services provider Milsped said it has signed a contract on cooperation with China's Shijiazhuang International Land Port, establishing a direct railway transport line between China's Hebei and Serbia.

This means that instead of the previous route through Europe, freight trains will enable faster and more efficient transportation of goods directly between these two regions, Milsped said in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.

"Intermodal transport and railways are crucial in our strategy due to economic efficiency and reduction of environmental impact", said Milsped CEO Nebojsa Krivokuca.
