Sungrow, Enevo Group to deliver 1 GWh of BESS projects in RomaniaDate: 2026-03-27    Source: SeeNews

March 27 (SeeNews) - Chinese photovoltaic (PV) inverter and energy storage system (BESS) provider Sungrow said that it has signed an agreement with Romanian energy solutions provider Enevo Group to deliver a series of BESS projects totaling 1 GWh of capacity in Romania.

The partnership underscores the growing trust in Sungrow's cutting-edge storage technology and the company's commitment to supporting Europe's rapid transition to renewable energy, it said in a press release on Wednesday.

The first phase of the collaboration aims to deliver on 440 MWh of projects before December. A subsequent phase envisages the deployment of an additional 560MWh.

"Together we are accelerating the integration of BESS with renewable generation while advancing Enevo's ambition to become a leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for large-scale BESS in the region" Enevo Group CTO Radu Brasoveanu said.

The new infrastructure will use Sungrow's PowerTitan 2.0 Liquid Cooled BESS, which has also been deployed in utility-scale projects in the UK, Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Cyprus and Bulgaria.

Last year, German-Bulgarian solar photovoltaic (PV) plant developer Sunotec and Sungrow signed an agreement to install 2.4 GWh of BESS across solar projects in Bulgaria and wider Europe. In August, Bulgarian solar energy company Sunterra said it has signed an agreement with Sungrow to install over 1 GWh of BESS at its three largest PV parks.

Enevo Group, established in 2014, is an integrated EPC contractor, which has offices in Romania, Spain, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Founded in 1997, Sungrow has installed 1000 GW of power electronic converters worldwide as of December 2025, according to company information.
