China's Eon Home mulls investing in SerbiaDate: 2026-04-21    Source: SeeNews

China's manufacturer of mattresses, sofas, and upholstered furniture Eon Home is considering investing in Serbia, economy minister Adrijana Mesarovic said on Tuesday.

Eon Home is interested in opening a production facility in Europe, and Serbia is seen as a priority destination for their potential investment, Mesarovic said in a press release, after visiting the company's factory in the city of Foshan, in China's central Guangdong province.

"I expect that we will continue talks in the coming months, when they plan to visit Serbia, which will be an opportunity to further specify potential cooperation," Mesarovic said.

Established in 1983, Eon Home operates five production facilities with a total of over 1 million square metres of manufacturing space in China, Southeast Asia, and the U.S., it says on its website. The company employs over 3,500 people and delivers more than six million furniture units per year.

Chinese investments in Serbia exceed 7.2 billion euro ($8.5 billion), news agency Tanjug reported, quoting Mesarovic.
